TERMS, CONDITIONS & ETIQUETTE

By enrolling with Bluebird Studio, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions and to adhere to the Bluebird etiquette.

We appreciate all Bluebird families follow the below ‘house rules’ in order to ensure each class runs smoothly and little dancers are safe and happy before, during and after their class. Thank you in advance for your support.

Class Etiquette

1. Please ensure you do not enter the studio, until the class in session has concluded and the teacher has opened the door to avoid disruption. This includes use of the bathroom facilities during another class.

2. For those children that are in classes to be ‘kissed and dropped’, please arrive 5 minutes early to class, so children can form a line at the door and enter all together.

3. Parents/ carers are specifically requested to stay for Baby Bluebirds and should be an active participant.

4. Siblings are welcome to stay and watch for our baby classes on the assumption that:
a) Crying students or siblings need to be taken outside to calm down
b) Siblings do not distract students and class in progress
c) Accompanying adults will help toddlers pack away the toys at the end of class
b) Prams are kept outside to ensure the safety of our little dancers

5. For all classes where parents stay in the studio, it is important to remember to keep quiet, and save chatting & catch ups for before and after class. Even a whisper can be highly distracting for our dancers.

6. For all drop and go classes, children find it easier to listen & concentrate and are far less inhibited when carers are not in the room. You can see all the exciting things your budding ballerina has been learning at our end of year concert.

7. Please take children 4 yrs and under to the bathroom before class

8. Pack a drink bottle and place it with your children’s belongings. No food is to be eaten in the studio please

9. Children need to wear appropriate dance attire, in particular proper ballet shoes are to be worn other wise bare feet if absolutely necessary (we understand shoes get left at home or transition between sizes etc) no socks/ stockings/ jiffys/ outside shoes with hard soles to be worn for safety reasons. 2nd hand items are occasionally available from the studio for a small cost

10. Please bring in your outgrown items and the studio will happily buy them from you

11. Please ensure dancers hair is tied back at all times and no jewellery, princess crowns etc are worn. Appropriate props are provided during class

12. When class is finished, please leave as quickly and quietly as possible to minimise disruption to the following class

13. As we are now on a street frontage, children will not be able to leave the premises without adult accompanying them, so please ensure you come in quickly to collect your dancer and ensure they are kept well away from the road/ bus stop kerb area

14. Please ensure all property is clearly labelled, Bluebird Studio and it’s staff are not responsible for lost property.

15. Bluebird studio has a zero tolerance for bullying whether it be emotional, physical, or cyber, and could be grounds for immediate dismissal. This applies to students, staff members and parents.

16. Suzanna Rourke’s (Bluebird Studio Owner’s) judgment on what program/class/level a student should be placed in is final. Open communication is welcome and encouraged to ensure the best fit for each child.
