Covid Protocols

We are committed to delivering a clean and safe environment at Bluebird Creative Studio through a number of health and safety protocols but we can’t do it alone – we need the help of our beautiful Bluebird Families that will be joining us in the Studio this term.

Our highest priority in these changing times is the health, safety, and security of students, Team members, and community. COVID-19 has heightened our health awareness and we have changed our procedures to adapt to the ‘new normal’. We have developed a set of safety protocols, which are now in place, to ensure that you feel confident when next visiting our beautiful creative space.

And, please help us and if you or your dancer are feeling unwell, please stay away from the Studio. You can always arrange a makeup class for later in the term!

Expectations & requirements of students & parents/ carers:

> Students to arrive to class on time, not too early as to avoid clusters of people gather at the entrance of the studio. Class timetable allows for time between classes for student to exit and new students to arrive safely. Please ensure you arrive to your class right on time as this allows the Bluebird team to ensure students can enter and exit the Studio safely

> Adhere to the designated waiting area marked out for social distancing requirements

> Parent/ carers and students to use hand sanitiser available at entry and exit to the studio

> Parent/ carers and students entering the Studio will need to remove their shoes before doing so and place shoes in the designated area outside

> Please ensure children have used the bathroom before they arrive for class, as there will no longer be access to studio toilet

> Parent/ carers and students are expected to line up outside 1.5 metres apart. Each student will have their attendance recorded upon entering and once inside dancers are to be stand on the dancing dots spaced 4 square meter apart on the floor and parent/ carers on the allocated seating that has been placed at a safe social distance

> It’s essential that you collect your child on time due to the 4 square metre rule. Students who are late being collected will impact on the number of students allowed to enter the building for the next class

> Only 1 double vaccinated parent/ carers is allowed into the studio to accompany Baby Bluebird and Petite Feet classes. We will do our best to allow siblings to also enter the studio, however if limits don’t allow for it on the day, unfortunately the parent/carer and sibling won’t be able to stay but rest assured our nurturing teachers will take great care of your little dancer.

> No parent/ carers or siblings are allowed in the studio for Twist & Twirl, Fairy Feet classes and above

> BYO water bottle only into the studio, no snacks in class

> Students must NOT attend class if they’re feeling unwell, have any flu-like symptoms or have been in contact with a known COVID-19 case within the last 14 days

What you can expect from the Bluebird Team to keep you safe:

> All teaching staff have completed a COVID-19 prevention course

> Limitations on the number of people in the studio at any one time including teachers, students (and accompanying adults/ siblings)

> Social distancing marker stickers on floor to clearly indicate safe distancing
