Bluebird Dance Studio Concert 2024

Bluebird Studio presents
2024 ‘For The Love of Dance’ Concert
Sunday 10th November

We are thrilled to announce our upcoming end of year dance concert, “For the Love of Dance”. In addition to our regular dance classes, we are including some very special performances from our ‘Parent and Me’ (Baby Bluebird) classes. These dances will feature both parents and children on stage, creating a memorable and unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

What to expect:

Our concerts are fun, relaxed, and a joyful experience, just like our classes at Bluebird. There will be no pressure for children to know choreography 100%, no make-up needed, and no long extra rehearsals. We also understand that some children, for whatever reason, might not be able to attend the concert, so we have made sure that concert preparations will not take over precious class time – they will just be learning a ‘special fun dance’ with their classmates.

Concert fee:

With the effort to make costumes affordable for our families, we have set a flat rate of $65 for our concert fee. This will include a beautiful costume that children will get to keep, and a complimentary recording of the concert. We ask that parents do not leave registration to the last minute, as costumes need to be ordered early. Even if you are unsure if your child can participate, we encourage you to register anyway, and the costume can always be used as a gorgeous dress up, party outfit, or even worn to normal class.

Our 2024 concert promises to be a magical and enchanting event for both children and parents alike. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to see your child shine on stage!

Register before 6th July to participate

What does your $65 registration fee include?

Your concert registration includes 1 x  costume for your little dancer to keep and take home after the event and a complimentary video recording of the concert so you can all relive the fun of concert. Little dancers just LOVE to watch themselves and their friends on the big screen!

Registration closes 6th July 2024. You must register before this date if you wish to participate in the Bluebird Studio Concert as the Bluebird team have a lot to organise before concert day and need to get started as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT – What size costume does your child need?

During checkout can you please kindly provide the size costume your child requires in the ‘addition information’ field. Please use the size chart below when measuring your child to determine what size costume they require. Once costumes have arrived, they will be handed out to families in class.

Helpful costume measurement notes

1. How to measure bust
To determine your child’s bust measurement, wrap the measuring tape around the widest part of their chest, above their breastbone. Pass the tape underneath their arms and around their chest but avoid pulling it too tight. Take chest measurements over a thin t-shirt, top, or vest rather than thick clothes.

2. How to measure waist
To determine your child’s waist measurement, measure around your child’s natural waist, which is generally the same level as their belly button. Take waist measurements over a thin t-shirt, top, or vest rather than thick clothes.

3. How to measure girth (MOST IMPORTANT):
Have the tape measure starting at one shoulder, loop tape measure through the legs and back up to the same shoulder

*If your child requires smaller than a size 4, please give exact measurements*

Your Term 3 Classes (Changes)

Due to costuming, students participating in the concert need to be attending the same class from the beginning of term 3 – concert. Please let Miss Suzie know asap if your daughter will be changing days/classes from term 3, so we can plan costumes accordingly.

Parking is available at the northern end of the beach or in the surrounding streets..

Please be aware that parking could be limited due to Nippers activities in Queenscliff beach at this time. If possible, we recommend public transport as the easiest and quickest way to reach Manly. However, if you choose to drive, dropping off dancers and one adult at the school before finding a parking spot might be a convenient option. Carpooling is also recommended to minimise congestion.
